About Abarth

Abarth is an Italian performance brand. Carlo Abarth established it on March 31, 1949, in Bologna. The company took over the assets of Cisitalia after that maker collapsed. The emblem is a shield with a scorpion, based on the astrological sign of Carlo Abarth.12

Fiat acquired Abarth in 1971 and made it a racing and performance division. In 2007, Abarth became an independent unit under Fiat Group control. Stellantis now owns it through its Italian subsidiary.2

The current range includes the electric 500e, the Pulse crossover, the Fastback coupe SUV and the electric 600e.2

European petrol cars have used an on-board diagnostic system (EOBD) since model year 2001, and European diesel cars since 2004.3
