About DFSK

DFSK is a Chinese vehicle maker, officially Seres Auto (Hubei), formerly Dongfeng Sokon Automobile. Dongfeng and the Chongqing company Sokon created it in June 2003 as a joint venture.1

On April 10, 2020, Chongqing Sokon completed the purchase of the 50 percent of DFSK that Dongfeng Motor held. Sokon, now Seres Group, owns the company fully.23

The company has two main brands. Fengon, also sold as DFSK Glory, makes budget passenger vehicles. DFSK, or Dongfeng Sokon, makes light commercial vehicles such as microvans and pickup trucks.3

The company has four facilities. Two are in Shiyan, Hubei, and two are in Chongqing. In 2015, an Indonesian partner was building a DFSK assembly plant in Tangerang, Banten.34
