About Perodua
Perodua, short for Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua, is a Malaysian car maker established in 1993. The name means Second Automobile Company. The headquarters is at Sungai Choh in Rawang, Selangor, on a site that also holds two vehicle plants and a research facility.1
Perodua opened its first factory in 1993 and launched its first car, the Kancil, in 1994. The Myvi launched in 2005 and became central to the success of the company. The current range includes the Axia, Bezza, Myvi, Alza, Ativa, Aruz and Traz. The QV-E, a battery-electric car, launched in December 2025.12
By 31 December 2021, Perodua had sold more than 4 million vehicles.1
