Proton OBD-II support

Pelican knows 3 Proton models. The OBDb has no parameter data for them yet.

Every Proton that supports OBD-II also reports the standard parameters, such as speed and engine data.

About Proton

Proton Holdings is the national car company of Malaysia. It was established on May 7, 1983, and its headquarters is in Shah Alam, Selangor. In the 1980s and 1990s, Proton built cars with Mitsubishi Motors engines and platforms.1

Geely announced on May 24, 2017, that it acquired a 49.9 percent stake in Proton from DRB-HICOM. DRB-HICOM kept 50.1 percent. Geely also took Proton’s 51 percent stake in Lotus. Proton had acquired an 80 percent stake in Lotus in October 1996.12

The current models include the X50, X70, X90, S70, Saga, Persona and Iriz. The e.MAS 7 is a C-segment electric SUV. Proton launched it on December 16, 2024, as its first electric car.34
