About Renault
Renault is a French automaker. Louis Renault and his brothers Marcel and Fernand founded the firm Renault Freres. The firm received its first orders in 1899. The headquarters is in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris. Renault and Nissan have been partners in an alliance since 1999. Mitsubishi Motors joined the alliance in 2016. Renault and Nissan each keep a 15 percent cross-shareholding.123
Renault Group has three brands, which are Renault, Dacia and Alpine. Renault acquired a controlling stake in the Romanian maker Dacia in 1999. The Renault models include the Clio, the Megane, the Twingo, the R4 and the R5.45
Renault electric models include the R5 E-Tech, the Twingo E-Tech and the Megane E-Tech.6
European petrol cars have used EOBD since model year 2001, and European diesel cars since 2004.7
