About Porsche
Porsche is a German sports car maker with headquarters in Stuttgart. Ferdinand Porsche started an independent design and engineering firm in 1931. Volkswagen AG indirectly holds 75.4 percent of the share capital of Porsche AG.12
The first series model of the 911 left the production line in September 1964. The Boxster went into series production in 1996. Porsche brought the Cayman to market in 2006. The company also builds SUVs and sedans. The Cayenne went into production in 2002, and Porsche introduced the Panamera in April 2009. The Macan had its world premiere in Los Angeles in 2013.13
The Taycan is the first all-electric Porsche. Porsche unveiled it in 2019. The 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid supercar. Its production ended in 2015.13
The United States requires all 1996 and newer passenger cars and trucks to meet OBD-II requirements. European petrol cars have used EOBD since model year 2001.45
