About Omoda
Omoda is a brand of the Chinese car maker Chery. Chery established it in 2022. Its headquarters is in Wuhu, Anhui, China. Chery sells Omoda only outside China.1
Omoda entered the Russian market in 2022. The Omoda C5 was its first model, and it launched there in October 2022. Omoda launched in South Africa in April 2023. The brand then entered Europe, starting with Spain. The United Kingdom launch was on August 29, 2024, with the Omoda 5 and the electric Omoda E5.12345
The current models include the C5, the C7, the C9 and the S5. The E5 is an electric model. The range also has hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.1
By August 2025, Omoda and its sister brand Jaecoo had reached 600,000 combined global sales in 27 months.6
