Nissan OBD-II support

Pelican knows 70 Nissan models. The OBDb has parameter data for 21 of them.

Every Nissan that supports OBD-II also reports the standard parameters, such as speed and engine data.

About Nissan

Jidosha Seizo Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., was established in Yokohama, Japan, in 1933. Yoshisuke Aikawa was its first president. The company took the name Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in 1934. The company name Datsun comes from “Datson”, meaning son of DAT. The car name changed to Datsun in 1932.1

Nissan began to export Datsun passenger cars to the United States in the 1950s. Nissan Motor Corporation in U.S.A. was established in 1968.23

The first Nissan Patrol appeared in 1951. The Skyline began as the Prince Skyline, which Fuji Precision Machinery launched in 1957. Prince Motors merged with Nissan in 1966 and brought the Skyline into the Nissan lineup.23

Nissan describes the Leaf as the first 100 percent electric car for the mass market. The Leaf went on sale in December 2010 in Japan, Europe and America.4
